Compound Bows

A modernize bow, is a compound bow. It uses a levering system made up of cables, cams, and pulleys to draw the limbs back. Limbs on a compound bow are usually stiffer than a recurve or longbow. Having a compound bow offers more accuracy, velocity, and distance. It is affected very little by temperature and humidity. Did you know a compound bow was first developed and patented by Holless Wilbur Allen in 1967?
